Dipl.-Ing. STEFAN KREJCA NAMED NEW CEO

Ascendum Central Europe GmbH, a leader in construction equipment sales and the exclusive distributor of Volvo Construction Equipment in Central Europe, announce a change in its highest leadership. As of November 2024, Dipl.-Ing. Stefan Krejca takes on the role of Chief Executive Officer. In his new position, he will be responsible for directing the strategic direction of the company across markets in Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the Republic of Moldova.

Stefan Krejca, an experienced manager with extensive knowledge in business development, returns to the construction equipment industry after a nearly ten-year career in the commercial vehicle sector. Bringing with him a wealth of experience and an innovative approach to digitalization and automation—key areas for the company’s growth and modernization—Krejca will lead Ascendum into its next chapter.

Dipl.-Ing. Krejca succeeds Dr. Thomas Schmitz, who successfully led Ascendum for 21 years. Under Dr. Schmitz’s leadership, the company became one of the most significant players in the construction equipment market in Central and Southeastern Europe. Dr. Schmitz now moves into retirement after a career marked by numerous accomplishments.

With a clear strategy and a customer-focused approach, the new CEO plans to enhance Ascendum’s position in the market across all nine countries, ensuring that the company continues on its path to sustainable growth.
